The Town of Zionsville announced that an anonymous donor has agreed to fund a future amphitheater at the Carpenter Nature Preserve. The Foundation celebrates the first major gift at the Preserve since its sale by the Carpenters to the Town of Zionsville. We hope this important milestone is the first of many!

The amphitheater will overlook the wetlands in the Preserve and will complement the natural world around it. It will be a wonderful place for the community to gather for programs, educational events, and performances. The Park Board will offer naming rights for the amphitheater to the donor.

Imagine yourself at the Carpenter Nature Preserve on a lovely summer evening listening to a concert or a nature program in the amphitheater, which might look something like this!

Don’t miss this opportunity to get in on the ground floor in supporting the Carpenter Nature Preserve!

Last month we celebrated the dedication of the Carpenter Nature Preserve on October 5. Now begins the exciting work of building out the amazing features of the Preserve, turning the 215-acre abandoned golf course into a premier nature destination with activities for all ages.

Work is underway for the design of Phase 1 which will make Carpenter Nature Preserve accessible to our first visitors and will include a nature playground, trails, restrooms and a shelter facility. There is still time to add other features to Phase 1. Opportunities range from memorial benches to habitat restoration to canopy walks and treehouses.

We invite you to become a part of this legacy project for Zionsville. The Town is offering opportunities for donors to be recognized for their generosity in the form of naming rights and other recognition benefits. Please consider showcasing your commitment to nature, parks, and green spaces by joining the first group of Carpenter Nature Preserve funders.
