Great News to Close 2025!

As we approach the end of 2025, the Zionsville Parks Foundation would like to thank you for helping make this year such a success for parks and green spaces in our community. We are excited to share two announcements to close out the year.

Innovation Award

The Zionsville Parks Foundation is thrilled to announce that we have been named a 2025 Arago Award recipient by the Indianapolis-based Meridian Foundation, along with a $25,000 gift. We are being recognized for our vital role in the creation of the Carpenter Nature Preserve, set to open in 2026. The award will support our efforts to mobilize community investment, engage partners and elevate public awareness to advance this once-in-a-generation conservation effort.

Youth Nature Education Sponsorship

The Foundation remains deeply committed to fostering a love of nature in our children and building the next generation of conservationists. Since its inception, we have been the proud sponsor of Nature Connections, an award-winning collaboration between the Zionsville Nature Center and Zionsville third-graders. In response to significant reductions in municipal revenues, the Foundation is stepping up in 2026 with a $25,000 grant to support ALL youth nature programs led by our incomparable naturalists and offered to our community’s youth.

None of this would be possible without YOUR support. Thank you for reading the Acorn, engaging with us on social media, volunteering your time, planting native species in your landscapes, and making generous financial contributions.

As a reminder, we are in the final hours of our amazing matching challenge. Thanks to two wonderful donors, all donations made before midnight on December 31 will be doubled – up to $50,000.

We wish you a joyful holiday season and hope to see you out enjoying our beloved Zionsville parks!
