On June 22, Zionsville officially opened the doors to its newest green space: the Carpenter Nature Preserve. This milestone marked an important step in expanding accessible, beautiful natural areas for our community. This incredible transformation would not have been possible without the generosity and vision of our dedicated donors. Their support has helped secure a lasting gift of conservation—ensuring that this natural sanctuary will be protected and enjoyed for generations to come.

The preserve offers something special for every visitor:

• Walking Trails: Explore scenic, winding pathways designed for serene strolls, daily runs, or peaceful nature walks.

   

• Scenic Overlooks: Take in sweeping views of Eagle Creek and the preserved landscape.

   

• Wildlife Viewing: Look for native plants, birds and wildlife in pollinator gardens and from scenic vistas, including a stylistic wildlife observation blind.

• Prairie Pavilion: The perfect spot for family picnics, gatherings, or simply kicking back and relaxing in the shade.
