July was National Parks and Recreation Month, and this year’s theme—The Power of Parks—gave us the perfect opportunity to recognize the heart and soul of our community’s green spaces: our incredible Parks Department team.

Behind every well-maintained trail, preserved acre of parkland and engaging community event is a group of dedicated professionals working hard behind the scenes. To show our appreciation for their tireless work, dedication, and professionalism, we kicked off the celebrations by treating our parks crew to a well-deserved morning of coffee, donuts, and bagels.

To help them continue delivering top-tier parks and recreational programs for everyone to enjoy, we also presented the team with specialized tools and gear tailored to their daily operations and seasonal programs, including:

• Heavy-Duty Maintenance Gear: A new concrete saw and precision tree trimmers to keep our infrastructure safe and our grounds pristine.

• Educational & Event Supplies: Life-size skeletons, insect observation jars, and festive winter lights to elevate our hands-on nature programs and seasonal community events.
